TOMB RAIDER UNDERWORLD - MJÖLNIR, THOR'S HAMMER

This is a basic tutorial on how to make a rough replica of Mjölnir, the almighty Thor's weapon, from Paper.


What you'll need:
• printing patterns (download AVAILABLE SOON)
• scissors
• thick paper
• glue
• sticky tape
• a stick or plastic pipe for the handle



1) Print out the patterns on thick paper (160g).



2) Cut out the tiles INCLUDING the grey tongues (for overlapping and glueing). Then cut an X in the middle of the bottom part, as wide as your pipe/stick is thick.

3) Fold the grey tongues inward alongside the red dotted lines, do so with the bottom, top, and side parts. Also fold the top part along the grey lines, matching them to the contours of the main form.



4) Glue large main side parts to the bottom part's tongues.

5) Glue the side parts to the folded bottom part using the grey tongues.

6) Now put it all together, glueing all the tongues, completing the shape.

7) Shove the stick/pipe through the X-cut in the bottom and use sticky tape to fix it to the paper.

8) Glue the printouts for the handle around the stick/pipe.



9) Now cut a hole into the "cross"-shaped tile, put it around the stick/pipe and attach it to the main hammer body by glueing on the grey tongues.

DONE!

You can reinforce the edges with sticky tape to ensure the whole thong won't fall apart.
