1- when did you first hear about Lara
I remember having seen a TV report on the making of Tomb Raider II... I wasn't interested in video games back then so I didn't really pay attention ;)

2- how long have you been a Lara fan
Basically, it started when I got a CD of Tomb Raider IV from a friend. I got hooked on the game because it reminded me a lot of Indiana Jones (I always loved the movies) and I had always been interested in archaeology and ancient Egypt. the fact that the protagonist was a beautiful and also smart woman made it even more interesting than other games, and even though I was never really talented at playing them, I became a huge Lara fan. She's a great role model... with Lara, it's about courage and strength, facing your past and inner demons, and of course about self-assertion.   Maybe I was so fascinated with her character because I am so little like her in real life myself. I think all of us want to be a little bit like Lara ;)

3- when did you get into cosplaying
that was in 2001, when my husband and me decided to go as Lara and Indy for Halloween. My first outfit was very basic and simple, but that was when the passion started. I've been improving my costumes ever since and have collected quite a range of outfits.
Apart from Tomb Raider, I'm a huge sci-fi fan and have some Star Wars costumes too. Cosplay means a lot to me, not only because it is a lot of fun to dress up as my favourite characters and enjoy the occasional dip into their worlds, but also because I found many lovely and reliable friends and support in the community all around the world. It also helped me work on my personality and improve my self confidence.

4- How do you assemble your outfits
I'm really bad at sewing and making stuff from scratch... so most of the time, I try to shop for clothes that look close to what I need, and then make minor modifications to them. It's the same with props (like grenades) and putting together weapon belts and holsters. I'm always happy when I find suitable gadgets that I can use. It's a curse, too.. I can't go out shopping without constantly thinking about all the outfits I could make from the stuff I buy  ;)
