UK based Cosplayer and I have been a Tomb Raider fan since 1996. I first started cosplaying in 2015 when I decided to put together a gender-bent classic costume for a community meetup during the promotion of Rise of the Tomb Raider at EGX. After meeting so many nice people and after all their kind words of encouragement I decided to stick with cosplay and remain active in the fan community.

What was your first costume and why?
I did a version of the Classic for a cosplay community meet up during the promotion of Rise. I chose this because I had previously made holsters for a friend to use for a party so I already had them, and because the classic outfit is still the most recognizable look for Lara.
What has been your most memorable cosplay experience?
I was asked to be a part of the team hosting Nathan McCree's Composer Buffet Reception in April 2018 at Hatfield House. I and 2 others were asked to greet ticket holders in cosplay as the 3 main villains form Tomb Raider's 1 - 3, and I played the Role of Marco Bartoli. It was a fantastic evening where we heard for the first time the Abbey Road studio recordings, and got to hang out with old and new friends in the community, and in particular Alison Carroll, Shelly Blonde, Meagan Marie and of course Nathan himself at the after party. It was followed up the following morning by exploring the main house and grounds at Hatfield with the team.
What is your favorite costume and why?
The Nevada outfit from TR3. Blue is my favorite color, and as a teenager back in 1998 it was the first way I was able to incorporate some of Lara's style into my own (hot pants and a crop top on a guy would have been asking for trouble!)
What is the biggest challenge you've overcome while crafting your cosplay?
There have been so many, but the main one I am still learning is how to sew. There are so many different types of fabric and each needs a certain type of needle/thread/stitch that each time I start a project where I need to use a certain material for the first time I have really had to do my research and expect a lot of trial and error time until I'm finally happy with what I've accomplished.
